Aiming at the error problem in estimating speed of a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) using sliding mode observer flywheel energy storage system, super twist (SMO) is used to replace traditional observer. A new saturation function designed sign function. In addition, constant gain may lead decrease observation accuracy during switching. An adaptive proposed reduce chattering, The accurate estimation comprehensive range enhanced, and stability proved. On this basis, controller PI improve performance system. system’s simulation model built, standby charging conditions are simulated. results verify correctness effectiveness improved motor.
